Pokémon Club is a weekly event hosted by Paper Asylum. The event is organized to teach kids the Pokémon Trading Card Game as well as offer the chance for them to play against and trade with each other. The event is open to kids of all ages, however basic reading and math skills are required for the game. Again the event is primarily focused on having kids play the game, and they can take a break whenever they like; however we do not allow them to leave the event area and walk around the store. Trading happens at the end of the event, and all trades are overseen and validated by staff to ensure both parties receive a fair deal. Decks are provided, we also offer opportunities some weeks where we teach kids how to build their own deck!
While the event itself is first-come first-seated, we ask parents to fill out this form so we have a better understanding of interest in the event as well as to have contact information on file. If there are ever any questions you can call the shop at (978)998-4692 or message us on Facebook Messenger @PaperAsylum.

Whether you're a new player hoping to learn the game or an experienced player looking to test out some experimental decks before Friday night, this event is the perfect setting for casual games. Historically this event has been largely focused on the Commander format, but we are open to other formats such as Standard, Modern, Oathbreaker, Pauper, and more!
If you're hoping to play a format other than Commander, we highly recommend coordinating with other attendees in the event's discussion channel in our Discord server! (Not yet a member of our Discord server? Click on the Discord link at the bottom of this page to join!)
While we can provide a few premade decks and playmats, we highly encourage bringing your own. If you have any questions about this event, feel free to call us at (978)998-4692 or send us a message on Discord @paperasylum!

Wanna test out some Magic decks for a tournament, practice a Pokémon deck, learn how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! or even playtest your own card game? - This is the place. At our shop we have some Pokémon decks, Lorcana starter decks, & a few Magic decks as well for anyone looking to learn those as well as a friendly community where most are willing to allow you use of their decks. Otherwise we do encourage you to bring your own decks as well as play-mats.
